The game is about the young lion cub Simba’s fight to regain his strength and power so that he is ready to become the rightful leader of the Pride Land. King Mufasa, the revered ruler of Pride Rock and the lands that surround it, had taught his young cub, Simba about the "Circle of Life," that delicate the balance of nature which bonds all animals together. Simba's father had also prepares Simba for the day when he will be called upon to take over the throne and rule the land. But, Mufasa's evil brother, Scar, hopes that day never comes as he feels that he has been deprived of his rights to be the king after his brother. He makes plans with his evil henchmen and the hyenas to rid Simba of Pride Land.
